Michael “Mickey” BT Bell

About

Michael “Mickey” B.T. Bell is a producer, author, artist, and software architect.

Well known for his work in computer science, he has written several best-selling technical books under the publisher John Wiley & Sons.

As an art school graduate, Mickey’s contemporary paintings, photography, and films have been featured in national art galleries and museums. Following graduate school in New York City, he established a software development and architecture company, Byte & Run, Inc., and found great success on Wall Street while representing Fortune 500 financial institutions, such as J.P. Morgan, Chase, AIG, Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, and American Express.

Combined with his computer science career is Mickey’s dedication to art and film. Interested in telling meaningful stories focused on social impact, he presents this unique novel, an extended metaphor, depicting the trauma he experienced as a witness to the events of 9/11. His screenplay, Decoding Norman, is in pre-production, and when he’s not writing, he enjoys traveling, practicing martial arts, and biking.
